Waking up this morning, Carol offered to lend me her car so that I can venture on my own, but I declined still recovering from the previous night's activities. It was a really nice day though so I kind of regretted it. After Carol came home we went to The Vortex Bar and Grill for lunch.
They had many different burgers, and I was really tempted to get The Coronary Bypass:
Instead, I got a Bison Burger while Carol braved the Ostrich Burger which she later says tasted like dog (only a Korean would know):
Bison > Ostrich:
After we finished, we walked around The Little 5 Points. En route we came across a place advertising a Guitar Hero tournament:
Afterwards we visited the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site by Stephen's recommendation:
We were too late for the guided tour so we winged it. Here's Carol roleplaying a Freedom March participant:
and Joe roleplaying a colored person (gogo yellow):
The historic site had a solemn feel to it which is fitting for the resting place of Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King:
Nearby was Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth place, but we can only look from the outside since there were no more guided tours:
Martin Luther King Jr. is one of America's greatest heroes. Thanks MLK!
